Booking is not required for a standard visit. However, booking is mandatory for events (banquets and parties). If you book online, you will receive two automated emails: a confirmation email and an email with a ticket to present in the shop.
Remember to check your spam and "notifications" folder; the system sends your tickets within seconds of your booking.

A reduced rate is available for students, job seekers, and people with disabilities. This rate will only be granted upon presentation of valid proof of eligibility.
Residents of Montbazon have free access to the site, and must present proof of residence and a valid identity document.
Some municipalities have an agreement with the fortress. However, it is essential to obtain a pass directly from your town hall, then present this pass along with proof of identity/residence. Do not attempt to visit without first obtaining this pass from your local town hall; you will not be able to benefit from free admission.
The site is accessible to everyone, but under certain restrictions.
Indeed, the path is elevated and sloping, and entirely covered in gravel. There is a step on the path leading to the fortress entrance. Parking is available for our visitors next to the fortress.
In accordance with current legislation, the Montbazon fortress, classified as a Historical Monument, has an exemption regarding the obligation of accessibility for all.
However, feel free to contact us before your visit! Even in a wheelchair, access via another entrance is possible.
Finally, being on a medieval site, it is all on one level, except for access to the keep and the underground passages which is via stairs.
Guided tours are accessible to everyone, at no extra cost, and there is no need to book.
The workshops are also open to everyone. You will receive 2 coins per paid entry ticket (the site's currency, not given for a child's ticket, free ticket...) which you can use to participate and take home your creations.
If you just want to learn more about a trade or chat with a craftsman, no money is needed!
